DPRD Requires DKI Provincial Government To Digitize Asset Registration To Be Directly Monitored By Residents

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Regional Regulation Formation Agency (Bapemperda) of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Abdul Aziz, assessed that so far the process of collecting data and recording assets has not been running optimally.

Aziz said stricter arrangements were needed to prevent loss of assets and ensure that every regional property was clearly recorded.

"Do not let the assets of the DKI Regional Government disappear whose ownership is unclear," Aziz told reporters, Friday, November 28.

Therefore, Aziz emphasized that the Draft Regional Regulation (Raperda) which is currently being finalized is strengthening regulations for the management of assets belonging to the provincial government.

Aziz emphasized that Bapemperda included rules regarding the obligation of the DKI Provincial Government to digitize all regional asset data in the Raperda.

According to Aziz, this step also encourages information disclosure so that the public and business actors can access asset data without obstacles. Data disclosure is the key to ensuring asset management is fair and transparent.

With open information, the use of regional assets is said to be more directed, including for private parties who need land or assets for business activities.

"So that later the land of the DKI Regional Government can be used as much as possible by the community. Entrepreneurs who want to take advantage of it, please," said Aziz.

Aziz explained that the digital system will later contain detailed information about every asset of the provincial government. Starting from the status of utilization, asset value, land area, to physical form.

He is optimistic that the Regional Regulation on BMD Management will be an important instrument to encourage optimization of the use of regional assets. This step is expected not only to increase administrative order but also to contribute to regional income.
