TIDORE - Minister of Culture Fadli Zon received the honorary title of the Sultanate of Tidore 'Ngofa Bangsa Nyili Gulu-gulu' in a series of cultural visits in North Maluku. The title was directly pinned by Sultan Tidore Husain Syah while visiting the Sultanate of Tidore.
The title became a symbol of acceptance of the sultanate and the bond of brotherhood to the Minister of Culture.
Fadli was welcomed in the Great Welcoming Process, including the wearing of Tidore traditional clothing, before reviewing the collection of Kedatons that hold heirlooms, traditional clothing, royal artifacts, and important historical manuscripts regarding the journey of the Tidore Sultanate.
He considered the wealth of this collection to be the foundation for strengthening museums and cultural centers in North Maluku.
