Police Investigate 4 Suspects For Illegal Vaccination At Elite Jakarta Housing

MEDAN - The case of illegal sale of Sinovac vaccine continues to be investigated by North Sumatra Police. Currently, the police have established 4 suspects namely SW, IW, KS and SH.

Head of Public Relations of Sumut Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi said, the suspects have 15 times conducted illegal vaccinations. Not only in Medan, Hadi revealed the suspects are suspected of having illegal vaccinations in Jakarta in elite residential areas.

"It is still under investigation in Jakarta," Hadi said, Monday, May 24.

He also ensured that the vaccine used in Jakarta was originally intended for wardens and residents of Rutan Tanjung Gusta Medan.

"But it was perverted by the prison doctor (IW), then sold to the estate agent (SW). (transaction) infonya cash and carry," said Hadi.

But regarding the method of carrying the vaccine, police are still investigating. "That's what investigators are investigating, maybe using a cool box," he said.

In relation to this investigation Hadi, insisting the police are indiscriminate, any parties allegedly involved will be questioned. "Basically anyone with that involvement will be called and questioned by investigators," he said.

Previously, North Sumatra Police dismantled the case of illegal vaccine sales in Medan. Four people were assigned suspects, namely 2 ASN doctors in Dinkes Sumut with the initials KS and IW, ASN Dinkes Sumut with the initials SH, and a property agent with the initials SW.

The four perpetrators have been vaccinated 15 times illegally. They got the vaccine from Dinkes Sumut and then sold it for Rp250,000 for each vaccine.

The total number of participants who participated in this vaccination was 1,085 people. From this illegal activity, the suspects earned a total profit of Rp271 million.
