PBNU Secretary General Asks All NU Residents To Stay Calm And Not Provoked

The polemic of urging PBNU General Chair Yahya Cholil Staquf (Gus Yahya) made PBNU Secretary General Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) speak up. Gus Ipul called on all ranks and residents of Nahdlatul Ulama to remain calm and not be easily provoked by confusing news.

The man who now serves as Minister of Social Affairs revealed that the recent polemic is an organizational matter that is being handled according to the internal mechanism. He added that the polemic is also part of the dynamics of the ongoing organization.

"I ask all NU administrators and residents to remain calm, not to be carried away by misleading news flows, and not to enlarge misunderstandings," said Gus Ipul in his written statement.

Gus Ipul called on all NU administrators from PBNU, PWNU, PCNU, MWCNU to Ratting NU to continue to consolidate, maintain ukhuwah, and refrain from attitudes or statements that can make the atmosphere worse.

"Follow all developments only through official information submitted by the PBNU Syuriah ranks. Don't be influenced by unclear news of the source," he said.

The process of handling the internal dynamics of PBNU is currently entirely in the Syuriah structure, as the highest authority holder of the organization, led by Rais Aam with two Deputy Rais Aam.

"We leave it entirely to Rais Aam and his representatives. God willing, everything will be resolved properly, proportionally, and according to the organization," he said.
