Here Are The 'Victims' Behind Candipuro Police Office Burning

JAKARTA - Police have named dozens of people as suspects in the burning of Candipuro Police Station, South Lampung. However, behind it all recorded some people became 'victims' in the case.

The context of the victim in question is not the real one. Instead, officials who lost their positions and were made suspects in the case.

First, The Chief of Police of Candipuro, South Lampung, Commissioner Adjutant Ahmad Hazuan had to relinquish his post. He was mutated as Head of Unit I Sinego Subditdalmas Ditsamapta of Lampung Police.

"Yes, Candipuro Police chief was transferred to Lampung Police," said Head of Public Relations of Lampung Police Grand Commissioner Zahwani Pandra Arsyad in Bandarlampung, Friday, May 21. 

The current position of Chief of Candipuro Police, occupied by First Inspector Gunawan who previously served in the Legal Field of Lampung Police.

The transfer of office is contained in the telegram letter of the Lampung Police Chief with the number ST/396/V/KEP.2021/ dated May 21, 2021, signed by the Head of Human Resource Bureau of Lampung Police, Grand Commissioner Endang Widowati.

The change of position was carried out based on the results of an audit from the internal supervisory team led by the Head of Human Resource Bureau of Lampung Police Grand Commissioner Endang Widowato after the destruction and burning of the police office.

"The internal supervisory team has provided recommendations, one of which is the mutation of the police chief," added Pandra.

In addition, the party that threatened to lose his position, namely, a Village Head in Beringin Kencana Village with the initials DK. Because he is currently designated a suspect in the case.

" Initials DK, Village Head in Beringin Kencana Village. He is one of the Village Heads among 14 villages in Candipuro Subdistrict," said Pandra.

Based on the results of the examination, this DK suspect acted as an initiator. Because he gathered a mob to go to Candipuro Police Station.

"He (DK) initiates to gather mass and headed to the Police Office together," he said.

In fact, Pandra continued, DK also invites people to crowd. In fact, the current condition during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Thus, with his actions it can increase the potential spread or transmission of COVID-19.

"He just did invite people to gather in the middle of the pandemic," said Pandra.

Only, until now there has been no official statement related to the replacement or not the position of the head of the village.

For information, in this case, 12 people have been identified as suspects. In fact, one of them is a minor.
