Prabowo Affirms Relations With Jordan Are More Than Just Partners

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that the relationship between Indonesia and Jordan is not just a partner, but a relationship that is built on the basis of strong brotherhood and must be passed on to the next generation.

This was conveyed by the Head of State when hosting the King of the Kingdom of Jordan Hasyimiah Raja Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein at a state dinner at the State Palace in Jakarta, Friday (14/11) night.

"Think of us as more than just partners, we have strong bonds of brotherhood and friendship. And I think this bond must remain sustainable in the future," said the President as quoted by ANTARA.

President Prabowo explained that Indonesia views Jordan as an important partner in the struggle for international peace, as well as a close friend in supporting the struggle of the Palestinian people.

President Prabowo also expressed his respect and happiness for the presence of King Abdullah II and the Jordanian delegation in Indonesia.

"It is an honor and happiness for me to welcome back Your Majesty and the honorable Jordanian delegation to Indonesia," he said.

Meanwhile, King Abdullah II also expressed his appreciation and gratitude for being welcomed again with extraordinary hospitality in Jakarta.

King Abdullah II also emphasized that Indonesia has an important position in the world Muslim community, especially in its diplomatic role during difficult times.

We always view Indonesia as a very important part of the Muslim community. Indonesia's role in international affairs, especially under your leadership, is very important in these difficult times," he said.

King Abdullah II said his presence in Indonesia was not only as a head of state, but as a brother who wanted to strengthen the historical ties of the two nations.

King Abdullah II also revealed that Jordan's assistance to Indonesia during difficult times was a form of true brotherhood.

"This is what you do to each other, and this has not changed. I am very happy to be back here to strengthen not only the physical ties between the two of us, but also between our two countries," he said.

During the evening banquet, President Prabowo and King Abdullah II sat at the same table with the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, and the son of Didit Hediprasetyo.

This viewing of state night is not only an official welcome, but also a symbol of deep solidarity and historical relations between Indonesia and Jordan.

The warm welcome, the exchange of messages of brotherhood, and the familiar atmosphere that was created throughout the night became an affirmation that the two nations had the same vision in strengthening peace, stability, and cooperation between nations.
