2 Bulungan DPRD Members Allegedly Involved In Beating Residents At Tanjung Selor Cafe

The case of alleged beatings and mistreatment of a resident named Agus Suriansyah (38) at a cafe in Tanjung Selor has now attracted public attention.

The reason is, two members of the Bulungan Regency DPRD were mentioned in the police report as reported in this case.

The incident occurred on Wednesday (12/11) at around 12.50 WITA at Cafe Nara Gogi Yuk, Sengkawit Street, Tanjung Selor Hilir Village, Bulungan Regency.

At that time, victim Agus came to the location to discuss with farmer groups, but when he arrived there he admitted that he was suddenly attacked by five people using their bare hands.

In the police report numbered LP/B/3.2/XI/2025/SPKT Polda Kaltara, the five reported parties were named with the initials A, S, K, and two members of the Bulungan DPRD, with the initials AHP and LB.

As a result of the incident, the victim suffered injuries to the lower lip, bruises on the cheek, and wounds on the left side of the head. Feeling objections, the victim then reported to the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT) of the North Kalimantan Police.

For this incident, the reporter objected and reported to the SPKT Polda Kaltara, written in an official report signed by Adjunct Police Commissioner Basuki Suwito, Head of SPKT Polda Kaltara.

The Director of General Crimes (Dirkrimum) of the North Kalimantan Police, Kombes Yudistira Midyahwan, confirmed that his party had received the report and was conducting further investigations to confirm the truth of the incident.

"He really has the report, the police will examine witnesses and collect evidence to reveal the motive behind the alleged beating, including the results of the post-mortem," he said.

Until now, there has been no official statement from the parties reported or from the Bulungan Regency DPRD.
