JAKARTA - Head of the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) Fadlul Imansyah explained the role of his subsidiary, BPKH Limited, which is currently under investigation by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding alleged corruption in Hajj supporting services.

Fadlul explained that BPKH Limited was established to support the implementation of BPKH's direct investment in the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem in Saudi Arabia.
BPKH Limited is not an organizer of Hajj operations and is not involved in the service auction mechanism for pilgrims, but rather acts as a business entity that carries out investment activities like other companies in Saudi Arabia.
According to him, all profits from BPKH Limited investment activities, including commercial cooperation with third parties, will be returned to BPKH in the form of dividends.
"The funds then become a value of the benefits for the Hajj finance used to help finance the costs of organizing the Hajj (BPIH)," he said.
He emphasized that BPKH remains focused on its main task, namely optimizing the value of benefits for pilgrims and supporting the implementation of efficient and quality Hajj services.
