JAKARTA - The explosion reportedly occurred in a car near the gates of Delhi's Red Fort Metro Station on Monday night.
Delhi Fire Department said it received reports of explosions in parked cars, which then caused three to four nearby vehicles to catch fire and damage.
Several fire engines were immediately dispatched to the scene to control the fire.
Authorities suspect the explosion occurred in the CNG tube, although the exact cause has not been confirmed.
Until this news was published, there had been no reports of casualties. According to officials quoted by the PTI news agency, a number of people may have been injured in the incident.
