BMKG forecaster Adelia Febby said that the Sumatra Island area would generally be covered with cloudy weather to light rain.
"It is predicted that there will be thick clouds in the Banda Aceh area, while light rain has the potential to occur in Medan, Pekanbaru, Tanjung Pinang, and Padang," he said as quoted by ANTARA.
Adelia said the potential for light rain is also predicted to occur in Bengkulu, while people in Jambi, Palembang, Pangkalpinang, and Bandar Lampung are advised to be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning.
For Java Island, BMKG predicts thick cloudy weather in Bandung, as well as light rain in Serang, Jakarta, Semarang, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya.
"Meanwhile, in the areas of Bali and Nusa Tenggara, light rain has the potential to occur in Kupang and Denpasar. Meanwhile, Mataram is predicted to rain accompanied by lightning," he said.
On the island of Kalimantan, Adelia said light rain is predicted in Pontianak, Tanjung Selor, Samarinda, and Palangka Raya, while the Banjarmasin area has the potential to experience rain accompanied by lightning.
As for Sulawesi Island, running air has the potential to occur in Kendari. In addition, light rain is predicted to fall in Manado, Gorontalo, Palu, and Makassar, while the potential for rain accompanied by lightning needs to be watched out for in Mamuju.
