The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Budi Hermanto, stated that the condition of the alleged perpetrator of the explosion at SMAN 72 Jakarta is still being treated at the hospital.

"Still under treatment and his condition is conscious," said Kombes Budi in his statement, Sunday, November 9.

Police officers are currently focusing on recovering victims of the SMAN 72 Jakarta explosion.

"We are currently focusing on recovery. The National Police Chief carries out visits, visits the existing victims. Provides motivation and cooperates with KPAI," he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of Islamic Hospitals, he continued, conveyed that the first priority was intensive care for the victims.

"The data we got arrived at (Saturday) this afternoon, 96 victims consist of several hospitals. There are Puskesmas, Yarsi Hospital, Islamic Hospital. There are clinics in Lantamal, including Pertamina," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the mosque where the explosion occurred at the SMAN 72 Jakarta school building was said to be a special facility used by students and teachers.

The mosque cannot be used for activities of residents outside the school.

"The mosque is specifically for the worship of students, not for the general public," said a resident with the initials ER (25) to VOI, Friday, November 7, 2025.

Meanwhile, based on other information received by VOI, there were two explosions and thick smoke, namely at the school mosque and the back door of the school.

From the school area, a homemade bomb was found, a remote with long-barreled weapons and a revolver.

Meanwhile, according to one of the students at school, he said that the perpetrators were students who were in the same school.

"The perpetrator is also suspected of being a student. He is a victim of bullying. Maybe he wants revenge and also wants to commit suicide," he told reporters.
