Roy Suryo Suspect, Ketum Pasbata: Police Firmly, People Should Not Be Fooled

Chairman of Pasbata Prabowo, David Febrian, appreciated the Police's firm steps in naming Roy Suryo Cs as a suspect in the accusation of the fake diploma of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo.

David assessed that this step reflects the accuracy, caution, and integrity of the law that is well maintained by the police, especially the Polda Metro Jaya under the leadership of Inspector General Pol Asep Edi Suheri.

"I give the highest appreciation to the National Police, especially to the Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri, and investigators who work professionally, objectively, and carefully in handling this case," said David Febrian in Jakarta, Friday (7/11).

David emphasized that the issue of fake diplomas that are constantly being fried by a handful of parties is a very dangerous form of people's stupidness. According to him, these actions not only attack certain individuals, but also damage the dignity of the nation and public trust in the education system and state institutions.

This issue is embarrassing and damages the image of the nation. They are unconscious, accusations like this create public unrest and can cause domino effects. Imagine, Indonesian children who study abroad can worry that their diplomas will not be recognized. This is very dangerous, "said David.

He also highlighted that the allegations were directed at former President and active Vice President, who should be role models for the younger generation.

"This is not criticism, but slander that insults the nation. Attacks like this not only tarnish individuals, but injure the honor of the state," he said.

David expressed his full support for the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, whom he considered successful in maintaining the dignity of the National Police as a modern, firm, and integrity institution.

"I consider the National Police under the leadership of General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to be a symbol of firmness and justice. Together with the Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri, the National Police proved that the law stands above all groups," he added.

David juga mengimbau seluruh masyarakat untuk tidak mudah terprovokasi dan tetap percaya pada proses hukum yang sedang berjalan.

“Rakyat harus cerdas. Jangan mau dibodohi isu murahan. Percayalah, Polri bekerja dengan profesional, dan kita semua wajib mendukung langkah tegas mereka,” tutup David Febrian.

Dengan ketegasan Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo dan Kapolda Metro Jaya Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri, kata dia, Polri telah membuktikan diri sebagai benteng keadilan dan akal sehat bangsa di tengah derasnya arus fitnah dan provokasi publik.

David also appealed to the entire community not to be easily provoked and to continue to believe in the ongoing legal process.

People must be smart. Don't want to be fooled by cheap issues. Believe me, the Police work professionally, and we are all obliged to support their decisive steps," concluded David Febrian.

With the firmness of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and the Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri, he said, the National Police had proven themselves as a bulwark of justice and common sense in the midst of the swift flow of slander and public provocation.
