One Person Arrested In Grandma's Murder Case In Jombang

Jombang Resort Police (Polres) officers arrested one suspected perpetrator of the murder of a grandmother resident of Medeleg Hamlet, Tampingmojo Village, Tembelang District, Jombang Regency, East Java.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Jombang Police, AKP Margono Suhendra, explained that his party had arrested one man in the case.

"Until now, we are still securing one person, and investigators are still conducting intensive examinations on the person concerned, we are still investigating," Margono said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, November 5.

He was still reluctant to reveal the identity of the alleged perpetrator. However, from the results of the examination and evidence, it is suspected that there is a connection.

The case, he said, started with theft with the victim Mutmainah (74), a resident of Medeleg Hamlet, Tampingmojo Village, Tembelang District, Jombang Regency.

So far, the victim has lived alone. Her children are out of town. The one who often visits is the victim's sister, for working on the victim's rice fields.

The victim was found not at home on Monday (3/11). After the victim's sister entered his house, it turned out that she did not find any victims.

In addition, there were also bloodstains on the bed, so they immediately contacted relatives and the police.

Until then, there was information that a corpse caught fire on Monday (3/11) night in Lamongan Regency, precisely on the edge of the forest in Lawak Village, Ngimbang District, Lamongan.

After confirming his identity, the victim was identified as Mutmainah's grandmother.

The police also conducted an autopsy on the victim's body. From the autopsy results, there was bleeding in the head before death. Allegedly, after death, the victim was taken by the perpetrator to the scene where the body was dumped in Lamongan.

In addition, the police also processed the crime scene (TKP). As a result, the victim's car was lost. Likewise with a number of jewelry and money.

"So the missing jewelry, money and cars. For the car used by the suspect to take the victim to the crime scene," he said.

For these items, he said, they had been found, including a car. The vehicle was found parked just like a resident's yard in Peterongan District.

"Certainly to eliminate evidence. From the results of the investigation from yesterday until earlier, we found the crime scene where the bodies, crime scenes, evidence of money, gold and a crime scene for storing cars were found," he said.

Until now, the case is still in the process of being investigated.
