Riau Governor Abdul Wahid's Confidant Arrives At The KPK Office After Being Caught OTT

JAKARTA - Tata Maulana, a private party caught in a hand arrest operation (OTT) in Riau Province arrived at the Red and White building of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta today.

KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said Tata was Abdul Wahid's confidant. He became the ninth party to arrive at the KPK office.

"Private, the person on account is brother AW (Governor Abdul Wahid)," Budi said in his statement, Tuesday, November 4 evening.

Tata Maulana arrived at the KPK office at 18.55 WIB. He got out of the black car while being escorted by two officers.

Tata was seen carrying a black backpack, however, he looked down when the media crew asked various questions.

As previously reported, the KPK held a hand arrest operation (OTT) in Riau Province on Monday, November 3. There were 10 people who were arrested and there was Rp1 billion in cash in rupiah denominations, US dollars to Poundsterling.

It has not been detailed about the transaction that led to the silent operation. The KPK said all information would be submitted through a press conference after the inspection was carried out.
