Drunk, Somali Citizens Arguing Accuses Taksol Driver In Bali Of Stealing IPhone

DENPASAR - A tourist man from Somalia with the initials SD (35) who was drunk in an argument with an online taxi driver (taksol) in Bali with the initials JAA (55).

The incident occurred on Jalan Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra, East Denpasar District, Denpasar City, Bali, on Monday (3/11). The foreigner also accused the driver of JAA of stealing the iPhone 13.

But it turned out that the tourist's cellphone fell on the car seat.

"The reporter (the driver) is accused of taking the cellphone of a foreigner passenger from Somalia. The reporter used a Nissan Datsun Go Car," said East Denpasar Police Chief Kompol I Ketut Tomiyasa, Tuesday, November 4.

The taksol driver received an order from SD from Jimbaran to Ubud.

On the way, passengers asked the driver to stop the vehicle because he wanted to urinate.

"The passenger (foreigner) then got out of the vehicle, while the driver remained in the car," he added.

When he got back into the car, the foreigner admitted that he lost his cellphone. The taksol driver immediately reported to the East Denpasar Police.

The police met the citizen and re-checked the cellphone which was said to be missing. Apparently the Somali tourist iPhone is under the car seat.

"One silver iPhone 13 cellphone belonging to the foreigner has been found and has been taken by the owner. The dispute between the driver and the foreigner has been resolved amicably," he said.
