The Riau Police's Directorate of Traffic (Ditlantas) continues to strengthen driving safety education for the younger generation through the Police Goes To School program. This time, the activity was carried out at the SMAK Taruna Satria Pekanbaru, Jalan Delima, by presenting the Dirlantas Polda Riau Kombes Pol Taufik Lukman Nurhidayat as the main resource person.

This activity aims to increase students' awareness of the importance of orderly traffic as well as introducing the concept of Green Policing, namely the police approach that cares about environmental conservation.

Kombes Pol Taufik was present with the Head of Sub-Directorate for Kamsel Ditlantas Polda Riau AKBP Dasri and was warmly welcomed by the school and students who seemed enthusiastic about participating in the activity.

Educational Discipline Traffic And Environmental Care

In his presentation, Kombes Pol Taufik emphasized the importance of building a habit of early driving discipline as a provision of safety on the highway. He also invited students to care about environmental sustainability, in line with the spirit of Green Policing which combines traffic safety with ecological responsibility.

'Security on the road is not only a matter of rules, but also a matter of culture and shared responsibility. The younger generation must be a pioneer in traffic safety and care about the environment. Through the Green Policing program, we want to instill that environmental safety and sustainability are two things that go hand in hand," said Kombes Pol Taufik.

Dirlantas also emphasized the importance of the role of students as agents of change in creating a safe, orderly, and green Riau.

"My brothers and sisters are the future of Riau. By orderly traffic and caring for the environment, we together create a safe, orderly, and green Pekanbaru," he added.

Riau Police's Four Leading Programs

On this occasion, the Riau Police Traffic Directorate also introduced four priority programs for the Riau Police, namely:

Interactive And Educative

The atmosphere of the activity was even more lively during a question and answer session around Kamseltibcarlantas (Security, Safety, Order, and Traffic Smoothness) and Green Policing. The students actively participate and answer questions for door prizes in the form of tumblers, SNI standard helmets, and tree seedlings.

Riau Police Ditlantas personnel also distributed traffic orderly education brochures as part of the driving safety campaign.
