The Sorong City Police (Polresta) has tightened supervision on sea routes to prevent the entry of narcotics shipments, especially marijuana, from Jayapura to the Sorong City area, Southwest Papua.
Deputy Head of the Sorong City Police, AKBP Mathias Badminton Krey, said that most of the marijuana trafficking in the Sorong area is known to come from Jayapura by sea, so monitoring at the port is the main focus.
