JAKARTA In an effort to accelerate the realization of Indonesia's vision as the 2026 World Halal Center, PT Synerga Tata Internasional (STI) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Halal Product Guarantee Administration Agency (BPJPH) of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia.

The signing, which was carried out in Jakarta, marks collaborative steps in strengthening socialization, education, promotion of halal product guarantees (JPH), as well as facilitation of halal certification for business actors, especially Micro and Small Enterprises (UMK).

MoU was signed by BPJPH Head Ahmad Haikal Hasan and Commissioner of PT Synerga Tata Internasional, Edwin Pantas Partawatul. In his statement, Friday (31/10), Edwin said that this collaboration is a strategic step for STI, which is a subsidiary of PT Surveyor Indonesia (PTSI) to support the government's priority programs in the halal sector.

"The signing of this MoU is a tangible manifestation of STI's commitment to synergize and collaborate with BPJPH. We see halal certification is not just a regulatory obligation, but a global quality standard that is the key to the competitiveness of Indonesian products in the domestic and international market," said Edwin.

Support Regional SEHATI And UMK Programs

Furthermore, Edwin emphasized that this collaboration allows STI to take advantage of its experience and network in consulting services and mentoring halal certification, including expanding the reach of the SEHATI (Free Halal Certification) program launched by BPJPH. The program is focused on assisting UMK in various regions that need intensive guidance in the process of managing halal certificates.

This agreement focuses on harmonization of programs and cross-institutional synergy in strengthening the national halal ecosystem. This is becoming increasingly important ahead of the deadline for halal certification obligations in October 2026, which demands the acceleration of socialization and education to all business actors.

Four Focuses On Strategic Collaboration

The collaboration between STI and BPJPH covers four main scopes, namely:

This MoU is valid for two years since the signing and can be extended according to the agreement between the two parties.

STI Ready To Become A Strategic Partner For Strengthening The Halal Ecosystem

As a consulting institution for halal certificates, STI is committed to becoming a strategic partner for the government and the private sector in providing halal facilitation services for ministries, institutions, local governments, SOEs, and other business actors.

In addition, STI also acts as a Halal Expert Consultant who helps importers in managing halal certificates and providing halal personnel, both domestically and abroad. Currently, STI is also preparing permits as a training institution for halal reviewers accredited by BPJPH.

"We hope that through this collaboration, the acceleration of halal certification can be achieved effectively. Thus, Indonesian UMK products will be more competitive and bring Indonesia to become a major player in the global halal industry," concluded Edwin.
