JAKARTA - The South Jakarta Food, Maritime and Agricultural Security Sub-Department (KPKP) provides free animal health services in the Sentra Fauna and Culinary areas of Lenteng Agung, Jagakarsa District.

"This free animal health service is our collaboration with the South Jakarta PPKUKM Sub-dept.," said Head of the Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Section of the South Jakarta KPKP Sub-dept. Irawati Harry Artharini, in Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, October 29.

Irawati explained that this service aims to reduce the risk of animals being stressed or dying during the relocation and adaptation process in the Sentra Fauna area.

Animal health checks are scheduled to last for two to three weeks, adjusting to the schedule for the relocation of animal traders from Barito Market to a new location.

"Services are given every day from 08.00 to 16.00 WIB. We mobilize two officers to provide that service," he said.

Animal health workers will provide services in the form of examination and treatment, animal health consultations, and free rabies vaccinations.

"Although on the first day yesterday we did not examine any animals, we still urge traders to check the animals first. The goal is to prevent the risk of illness or death during relocation," said Irawati.

It is known that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared the Fauna Center in Lenteng Agung as a new relocation location for animal traders from Barito Market.

The center stands on an area of 7,500 square meters, with about 2,000 square meters allocated to traders from the temporary location (Loxem) JS 25, JS 26, JS 30, and JS 96.

This area is divided into several zones, namely Zone A containing 22 culinary kiosks, Zone C and D containing 74 bird traders' stalls and animal feed, as well as Zone E for parcels and culinary delights with 29 kiosks. While Zone B which will be used for amphitheater is still in the planning stage.
