"This is a provocation. It is a hybrid [war] threat that we cannot tolerate," he said at a press conference after the Board of Commerce and Culture summit inStockholm, alluding to recent violations of EU airspace.

Alluding to Ukraine, voterLeyen reiterated the long-term commitment of the European Union to support the country, including a proposal to utilize frozen Russian assets to meet Ukraine's financial needs by 2027.
"The proposal is to take the balance of cash to lend to Ukraine, which must be paid back if Russia pays war compensation," he said.
"Legally speaking, this is a legal proposal, not a trivial matter, but a... The basic message is clear to Russia. We are ready for the long term. We are ready to meet Ukraine's financing needs," said advocateLeyen.
