There Are Other Needs, Secretary General Of The DPR Indra Iskandar Does Not Fulfill The KPK's Summons Today

The Secretary General of the House of Representatives, Indra Iskandar, did not comply with the summons of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) today. He should have been investigated regarding allegations of corruption in the procurement of equipment for the office of DPR members for the 2020 fiscal year.

"Witness IIS has sent a notification letter," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Friday, October 24.

Budi explained that the examination would be rescheduled. Indra should have undergone an examination at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

"It can't fulfill this call because there are other needs that have been scheduled beforehand," he said.

During this week the KPK has facilitated a team from the BPKP to ask for information regarding state losses in this case. A number of parties were summoned, including Hiphi Hidati as the Head of the House of Representatives Management for the 2019-2022 period; Sri Wahyu Budhi Lestari as Head of the Procurement Section for Goods and Services.

Then, Juanda Hasurungan Sidabutar was also questioned as Director of PT Dwitunggal Bangun Persada on Thursday, October 23.

Meanwhile, Indra Iskandar is one of the suspects in this case. He has also been summoned several times as a witness.

As previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption at the Secretariat General of the DPR regarding the procurement of furniture or furniture at the official residence of lawmakers. It is suspected that the filling of the living room to the bedroom was rigged.

The modes that occur in this case are violations of several provisions related to the procurement of goods and services and budget inflations or mark-ups. The official residences whose contents are corrupted are located in Kalibata and Ulujami, South Jakarta.

In this case, requests to prevent overseas have also been made for seven people. Those who are not allowed to travel are the Secretary General of the DPR Indra Iskandar; Head of the House Management Section of the DPR for the 2019-2022 period, Hiphi Hidati; President Director of PT Daya Indah Dynamics, Tanti Nugroho; and Director of PT Dwitunggal Bangun Persada, Juanda Hasurungan Sidabutar.
