KPK: Detention Of The Secretary General Of The DPR RI Indra Iskandar Is Just A Matter Of Time!

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the detention of the Secretary General of the DPR RI Indra Iskandar, who was one of the suspects in the corruption case in the procurement of the house of office for members of the DPR RI, was just a matter of time. This forced effort will be carried out after the state loss figures are calculated by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).

"Of course, if it is complete, including the results of the country's losses, the KPK will immediately take the next steps in investigating this case," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo when confirmed by VOI, Friday, October 24.

In this week, the KPK facilitated a team from the BPKP to ask for information regarding state losses in this case. A number of parties were summoned, including Hiphi Hiwa Hidati as Head of the House Management Division of the DPR RI for the 2019-2022 period; Sri Wahyu Budhi Lestari as Head of the Procurement Section for Goods and Services.

"The examination was carried out by the BPKP team in order to calculate the state's losses," said Budi separately in his written statement.

Then, Juanda Hasurungan Sidabutar was also examined as Director of PT Dwitunggal Bangun Persada on Thursday, October 23. "The witness was confirmed for the need to calculate state losses in this case," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption at the Secretariat General of the DPR regarding the procurement of furniture or furniture at the official residence of lawmakers. It is suspected that the filling of the living room to the bedroom was rigged.

The modes that occur in this case are violations of several provisions related to the procurement of goods and services as well as budget inflations or mark-ups. The official residences whose contents are corrupted are located in Kalibata and Ulujami, South Jakarta.

In this case, requests to prevent overseas have also been made for seven people. Those who are not allowed to travel are the Secretary General of the DPR RI Indra Iskandar; Head of the House Management Section of the DPR RI for the 2019-2022 period, Hiphi Hijati; President Director of PT Daya Indah Dynamics, Tanti Nugroho; and Director of PT Dwitunggal Bangun Persada, Juanda Hasurungan Sidabutar.

Then it was also prevented by the Director of Operations of PT Avantgarde Production, Kibun Roni; Project Manager of PT Integra Indocabinet, Andrias Catur Prasetya; and Edwin Budiman who are private.

Until now, the KPK has not detained the suspect in this case. They are suspected of violating Article 2 or Article 3 of the Anti-Corruption Law because it is detrimental to state finances.
