Great Fire In Karawang, B3 Waste Factory Burned Down

JAKARTA - One B3 waste management plant (dangerous and toxic materials), on Jalan Raya Rengasdengklok, Tunggajati Village, West Karawang District, Karawang Regency, West Java caught fire.

Based on information from the Fire Department (Damkar) and Rescue BPBD Karawang Regency, the factory that caught fire was PT. Dame Alam Sejahtera.

"Currently it is still in the process of being extinguished by officers," wrote the Instagram (IG) social media account of the Karawang Damkar an hour ago, quoted from Jakarta, Friday, October 24 at dawn.

Based on information from the account, the fire was first reported on Thursday (23/10), at around 22.00 WIB.

Officers who received information from the community regarding the fire immediately rushed to the location and sent more than six fire engines.

Until now, the cause of the fire is not yet known. Officers are still trying to extinguish the fire at the location of the fire.

The call center officer for the Fire and Rescue Division of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Karawang Regency, has also not been able to be contacted for further information.

Meanwhile, based on the search, PT Dame Alam Sejahtera is a national private company engaged in the management of B3 waste (dangerous and toxic materials).
