BMKG Records The Hottest Temperature 36.4 Degrees Celsius In Majalengka, Surabaya 35 Degrees

JAKARTA=- The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) detected a daily maximum heat temperature of more than 34-36 degrees Celsius in a number of areas in the last 24 hours.

BMKG Deputy for Public Meteorology Andri Ramadhani explained that the maximum heat temperature of 36.4 degrees Celsius hit the Majalengka area, West Java, as detected from the Kertajati Meteorological Station.

At the same time, the BMKG meteorological team also noted that the maximum heat temperature reached more than 35-35.8 degrees Celsius, hitting Sabu Raijua Regency, Kupang City, Surabaya, Kediri, and Cirebon.

Meanwhile, a maximum heat temperature of more than 34 Celsius was observed in most areas of Lampung, Kualanamu, Semarang, Banyuwangi, Sentani, and Gorontalo.

The condition of exposure to the hot temperature is considered to be still related to the minimal cloud cover and the apparent movement of the sun above the equator.

However, based on BMKG observations, this condition is still in the usual category which has no impact on changing seasons in Indonesia.

In order to reduce the impact of the hot temperature, BMKG urges the public to consume drinking water adequately and regularly, to avoid dehydration, especially when carrying out out outdoor activities.

Then use a shield such as a hat or umbrella to protect the head and upper body, sunglasses to protect the eye, if necessary, use sunscreen to protect the skin from exposure to Ultra Violet (UV) rays.

BMKG also reminded the public not to burn anything on empty land in forest areas and garbage shelter areas.

On the other hand, local governments are expected to be able to water land in order to reduce the potential for fires due to the heat of the sun in forest and land areas as well as landfill places.
