Hasto Kristiyanto Affirms Kaltara's Conference To Become A Momentum For Political Recruitment And Consolidation Ahead Of Elections

TANJUNG CELLOR Secretary General of the PDI-P Hasto Kristiyanto emphasized that the North Kalimantan PDI-P Regional Conference (Konferda) was not just a ceremonial forum, but a strategic step for the party in preparing political recruitment and structure consolidation ahead of the upcoming elections.

Hasto explained that the Kaltara Conference is an important part of the party's efforts to strengthen the face of the PDI-P at the regional level, both through organizational structure and the performance of cadres in the executive and legislative branches.

"The election victory cannot be separated from the good political recruitment process. Therefore, this Conference produces a party structure that reflects Kaltara's demographics, giving space for young people and women to play a role in politics," said Hasto.

He said the direction of party policy in North Kalimantan would be focused on three main things, namely strengthening the role of young people in the formulation of regional policies, increasing the involvement of women in overcoming social problems such as stunting and education.

"And build culture-based politics and local wisdom, especially in the geographical and social contexts of Kaltara, which is unique as a border area," he added.

In addition, Hasto also emphasized the importance of cadre creativity in facing national economic challenges. He considered that the PDI-P must actively encourage pro-people policies, including supporting BLT programs and competitive economic incentives to drive the informal sector.

"We have to be creative and pro-people. The party opens space for those who work in the informal sector to join hands with the PDI-P in overcoming poverty and creating jobs," explained Hasto.

He also said that the party's political stance on strategic issues in North Kalimantan would be announced after the Conference.
