JAKARTA - The National Police through the Central Java Police are trying to support the improvement of community nutrition by building 100 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) which will be distributed throughout the region.
The 100 SPPG development target is being met with various efforts, one of which is ground breaking 27 SPPG and the operation of 32 new SPPGs which will be carried out on Friday (17/10).
The activity took place at SPPG Gedawang, Banyumanik District, Semarang City and was attended directly by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
"We can jointly carry out the inauguration of 32 SPPG, 35 SPKT Polres, and 27 SPPG for Central Java Police," explained the Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Artanto, as reported by ANTARA.
Artanto explained that the new SPPG will increase the number of SPPGs previously owned by the regional police, which is 40 centers.
He explained that the construction of this SPPG was carried out in order to support the government's program to provide free nutritious food for the community, especially students.
For the SPPG in Gedawang, said Artanto, his party built the kitchen on an area of 1,535 square meters with a building area of 661 square meters.
He targets the construction process to be completed in the near future and can operate as of October 20, 2025.
Later, he continued, the newly built SPPG can provide food for 4,100 residents.
With this additional SPPG, the Central Java Police will certainly have 73 SPPGs spread throughout the region.

"The temporary number of beneficiaries who have been served is 40,453 beneficiaries, and have opened job opportunities for the workforce of 690 volunteers," he explained.

"Each SPPG has a good sanitation and water filter, and is equipped with a streamer route to ensure that the MBG container is clean of contamination," said Artanto.
