Trump And Putin Agree To Hold Meeting In Hungary

JAKARTA - United States President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin will soon hold a meeting in Budapest, Hungary.

This was expressed by the leadership of the White House after having a telephone conversation with the Kremlin Leader.

"After the phone call, we agreed there would be a meeting of our High-Level Advisers next week. President Putin and I will then meet at the agreed-upon location, Budapest, Hungary," he wrote on Truth Social's social networking page.

The US president said the two leaders were likely to meet in the next two weeks. The Kremlin confirmed plans for the meeting, although the two sides did not give an exact date when the meeting would take place.

"Throughout my life, I have made an agreement," President Trump told reporters at the White House.

"I think we're going to finish this one, hopefully soon," he hoped.

This development comes as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky heads to the White House for talks on increasing military support, including Tomahawk's long-range missile.

However, President Trump's peaceful tone after a phone call raised doubts about possible short-term aid and re-triggered Europe's concern about the US's capitulation of Moscow.
