JAKARTA - United States President Donald Trump said a 20-point plan regarding the Gaza Strip, Palestine is currently being developed while attending a meeting on peace in the enclave.
It was delivered in his speech while attending "Sharm El Sheikh Summit For Peace: Agreement To End The War In Gaza" which was held at Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt on Monday.
Together with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, President Trump signed a declaration aimed at strengthening the ceasefire in Gaza, attended by a number of heads of state, heads of government, to leaders of international organizations.
President Trump said several leaders attending the meeting would be appointed to the Peace Council, tasked with overseeing the Palestinian technocrat transitional government scheduled to manage Gaza after the war.
"Everyone wants to be a member of the peace council. They say, 'Are you going to be chairman?' I said, 'I'm also quite busy. But whatever we can do to make peace in the Middle East, it's worth it,'" said President Trump, launching The Times of Israel October 14.
"For the people of Gaza, the focus now is to restore the basics of a good life. We will get a lot of money into Gaza and a lot of rebuilding," he continued.
The signing was attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, King of Jordan Abdullah II, and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

"I am pleased to announce that many countries with great wealth, power and dignity have conveyed to me today and over the past week to say they want to help reconstruct Gaza," said President Trump.
"When the commitment is made, I will tell the world who did this because they really deserve great praise," he continued.
"We all agree that supporting Gaza must be done to raise the welfare of its own people, but we don't want to fund anything related to bloodshed, hatred, or terror, as has happened in the past," he said.
"We also agree that Gaza reconstruction requires demilitarization and an honest new civilian police force should be allowed to create safe conditions for people in Gaza," said President Trump.
"This is the first time a crisis in the Middle East has been able to unite the community, not even separate them," he said.
As part of President Trump's plan to end the Gaza war, the militant group Hamas on Monday released the last 20 surviving hostages it has taken after two years of conflict in Gaza, quoted by Arab News.
