Residents Find The Body Of An Ojol Driver In Kemanggisan, West Jakarta

JAKARTA - Residents found the body of an online (online/ojol) motorcycle taxi driver named Ibad (63) in a room in one of the houses in RT 04 RW 04 Kemanggisan Village, Palmerah District, West Jakarta (Jakbar), Saturday.

The head of the Rukun Tetangga 04, Jamil, in Jakarta, said that initially local residents were suspicious of a pungent odor from the location around the house.

"At around 09.30 WIB, a resident (the victim's family) came to the house to report a smell at his house. When he was visited, there was already a corpse," said Jamil.

According to Jamil, local residents still see it until Thursday (9/10).

"I last saw Wednesday night (8/10) in front of the mosque. For residents, we are still seeing Thursday (9/10)," said Jamil.

Jamal explained, based on police information at the location, there were no signs of violence against Ibad's body. He also concluded that Ibad died due to illness.

"I don't think so (sign of violence), but because it hurts. There are bloodstains because the blood vessels burst. But according to the police at the scene, there were no signs of violence," said Jamil.

The police evacuated the body at 13.00 WIB, after receiving information from residents. Meanwhile, the Palmerah Police Chief, Kompol Gamos Simamora, said that the body had been taken to Dr. National Central General Hospital. Cipto Mangunkusumo (RSCM) for further investigation purposes.

"(The cause of death of the victim) is still being investigated. It has been taken to the RSCM," said Gamos.

The photo received by ANTARA, the deceased wearing a white t-shirt and jeans, was found in his room. His body and head were swollen with body fluids scattered around the bed bed. Right next to the right side of the head, there are two cellphones that are still charged.
