Karutan: Ammar Cannabis And Shabu Shelter Zones From Outside The Rutan

Head of Central Jakarta Class 1 State Detention Center (Rutan) Wahyu Trah Utomo said that the disclosure of narcotics trafficking cases in detention centers carried out by Ammar Zoni (AZ) had occurred since January 2025.

"Our officers at the time of the raid suspected AZ's movements. Then the officers approached, approached, and conducted a search," said Wahyu, ANTARA, Friday, October 10.

According to him, the search of AZ occurred on January 3, 2025, at which time officers were conducting routine raids on residents of the Salemba Detention Center or Class 1 Central Jakarta Detention Center.

At that time, officers found methamphetamine and dried marijuana from AZ.

He explained that Ammar Zoni was suspected of playing a role as a collector of methamphetamine and marijuana from outside the detention center, and the goods were then handed over to five other suspects in the detention center for distribution.

Wahyu stated that the suspects allegedly used a special communication application called Zangi which is known to be safe and difficult to track to transact with suppliers from outside the detention center.

"After disclosing the case, we immediately coordinated with the Cempaka Putih Police," he said.

Previously, the Central Jakarta District Attorney (Kejari) stated that the narcotics trafficking case involving MAA alias AZ (Ammar Zoni) artist and five suspects entered phase two.

"We received the suspect and evidence on Wednesday (8/10)," said Acting Head of Intelligence at the Central Jakarta Kejari Agung Irwan in Jakarta, Thursday (9/10).

According to him, the narcotics trafficking case involving Ammar Zoni and five other suspects has entered stage two, namely the submission of evidence and suspects.

The case will later be transferred to the Central Jakarta District Court, to enter the next stage.
