It's Been 2 Years That The Mandalika MotoGP VIP Vehicle Sticker Has Been Fake, The Man From Central Lombok Has Been Arrested

JAKARTA - The perpetrators of counterfeiting stickers for access to VIP vehicle users at the 2025 MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) have been revealed to have been in action since the 2025 racing season.

Head of the Special Crime Unit of the Mataram Police Satreskrim Ipda Imamul Ahyar said the perpetrator's action with the initials MSU (33) who lives in Praya, Central Lombok Regency was revealed from the results of the examination.

"In his confession, he (MSU) has made fake stickers twice in a row, in 2024 and this year," he said in Mataram, Wednesday, which was confiscated by Antara.

To the police, MSU admitted to making fake stickers at the request of N and A. With a paid motivation of IDR 50 mothers per sticker, MSU scored at least 100 stickers in 2024.

"For this year he printed more than 240, all of them sold out," he said.

For the role and involvement of others, such as N and A, it is now confirmed that Ahyar is included in the development of the investigation.

"While determining this MSU criminal act, we are also exploring the role of others," he said.

The Mataram Police arrested MSU at a printing house in the Cakranegara area, Mataram City. This arrest was based on a follow-up to the report by the 2025 IndonesiaGP organizing committee team (ITDC-MGPA) which found the circulation of fake stickers on spectator vehicles.

The provider ensures that the sticker is fake based on further examination by the IndonesianGP 2025 organizing committee team (ITDC-MGPA) in the field. There are differences from the type of hologram on the sticker made by MSU.

For this forgery, the 2025 IndonesiaGP (ITDC-MGPA) organizing committee team claimed to have suffered a loss of at least IDR 1 billion.
