JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment, Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin, released a special call center service to handle and monitor the infrastructure conditions of Islamic boarding schools throughout Indonesia.

This service is a follow-up to a series of policies instructed by President Prabowo Subianto, after the collapse of a building at the Al Khoziny Islamic Boarding School, Sidoarjo last week.

"We have prepared this Call center so that all parties can report quickly if they find infrastructure problems in Islamic boarding schools. Hopefully, data collection can be more accurate and treatment can be done faster," said Cak Imin to reporters, Wednesday, October 8.

Cak Imin emphasized that this channel is opened as an emergency facility that must be fully utilized. The call center service can be contacted via (021) 158 for Telkomsel and Tri users, or 158 for other provider users.

"Frankly, we will open this call center, but please really don't carelessly use it," he said.

"We often have a call center to become trash. But for this time, please really use this call center for emergency. Let's work together to provide information and tactical information, don't make this a joke," continued the Chairman of the PKB.

Cak Imin said this step was part of the government's efforts to strengthen the system of supervision, data collection, and rapid handling of the physical condition of the pesantren building.

Cak Imin hopes that the community and pesantren managers can actively participate in providing accurate reports, so that there will be no more cases of pesantren infrastructure that endanger the safety of students and teaching staff.

"The call center service hours follow the PU Ministry's public service hours, which is 08.30 WIB - 15.30 WIB," he explained.

He also reminded that the incident at the Al Khoziny Islamic Boarding School was an important lesson for all parties. He emphasized that the tragedy should not be repeated in any other Islamic boarding school in Indonesia.

"That's enough, Al Khoziny is the last one. We don't want any more students or teachers to be victims because of infrastructure negligence. From now on, let's monitor and handle each potential danger together," he concluded.
