CPO Carrier Truck Falls Into The Jurang Gunung Paro Aceh Besar, Driver Dies On The Spot

ACEH besar - The search and rescue team (SAR) evacuated four victims in the accident of two trucks that entered a ravine in the Mount Paro area, Aceh Besar District, Wednesday, October 8.

Head of the Class A Banda Aceh Search and Rescue Office (Basarnas), Ibnu Harris Al Hussain, said one victim was found dead, while the other three were injured.

There were four victims of motorized vehicles that entered a ravine on Mount Paro, Aceh Besar District, who were successfully evacuated. The evacuation took place during the SAR operation with special handling," said Ibnu Harris in Banda Aceh, Wednesday.

The victim who died was identified as Baihaqi (28), a resident of Tiro Village, Tiro District, Pidie Regency, who was a trado truck driver.

Meanwhile, three injured victims, namely Masuardi (36), a resident of Tanjong Bunung Village, Kaway XVI District, West Aceh Regency, driver of a tank truck carrying crude palm oil (CPO); Abdullah Nurdin (50), a resident of Meunasah Panapan, Tiro District, Pidie Regency; and Martuni (18), a resident of Peunandok Village, Tiro District, Pidie Regency. Both are passengers of trado trucks.

Ibnu Harris explained that the evacuation began with a public report on Wednesday, October 8 at around 05.50 WIB which reported that two trucks had entered a ravine in the Mount Paro area.

Receiving the report, the Banda Aceh Search and Rescue Office immediately sent a team to the scene, which is about an hour's drive from Banda Aceh City.

When they arrived at the location, the team immediately evacuated. One victim was found dead and three others were injured. All the victims were then taken to a hospital in Banda Aceh," he said.

During the operation, the Banda Aceh Basarnas deployed personnel along with three members of the Banda Aceh SAR Task Force. The operation was also assisted by two members of the Leupeung Koramil, two Leupeung Police personnel, four members of the Aceh Besar Police Traffic Traffic Unit, and three radio community volunteers.

“Kondisi cuaca saat operasi cerah dan tidak ada kendala berarti. Setelah operasi selesai, seluruh personel dikembalikan ke satuan masing-masing,” kata Ibnu Harris.

"The weather conditions during the operation are sunny and there are no significant obstacles. After the operation is complete, all personnel are returned to their respective units," said Ibnu Harris.
