PURWAKARTA - Purwakarta Regent, West Java, Saepul Bahri Binzein, inaugurated a public complaint post that functions to accommodate and follow up on various problems within the regency community.
"This Public Complaints Post is located in Bale Katresna, the Purwakarta Regency Government complex," said Regent Saepul in Purwakarta, Antara, Wednesday, October 8.
He explained that the existence of the post is expected to be an effective channel so that people can submit complaints and problems without having to wait for a direct meeting schedule with the regent.
So far, people want to meet me directly to complain. Almost every day someone comes from all over the village with various problems," he said.
Due to the limited time and the many government agendas that must be carried out, Saepul took the initiative to open Bale Katresna as an official forum for public complaints.
"Bale Katresna means Balai Cinta. This Balai is the official complaint place for the Purwakarta Regency Government so that the community remains served, and I can also stay focused on completing other matters," he said.
Saepul said that public complaint posts in Bale Katresna are open to all types of complaints, ranging from social affairs, education, health, to public service administration.
"All complaints will be recorded, then which ones can be handled directly and which ones need further processing," he said.
In the inauguration of the post on Tuesday (7/10), 40 public complaints were recorded, with most of them related to education, health, and arrears in BPJS Health contributions.
There are many reports about BPJS, especially residents who used to work and then quit, became independent participants, and had difficulty paying dues. When sick, they only realized that their membership was in arrears, "he explained.
For each complaint, a solution is given according to the needs and conditions of each citizen. If it can be resolved quickly, we will finish it right away. If you need a process, we will take it according to the rules," said Saepul.

In order to make the handling of public complaints more evenly at the village level, the Regent also requires every village head to open a complaint post at the village office.
"So not all complaints accumulate in the district. Every village is required to open a complaint post, active during working hours Monday to Friday," he said.
