Police Make Sure Mandalika MotoGP Security Runs Successfully

JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has ensured that the security of a series of MotoGP events at the Mandalika Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, for three days will be successful.

Head of the Mandalika Operations Public Relations Task Force Rinjani 2025 Kombes Mohammad Kholid said that during the three days of implementation, from 3 to 5 October 2025, the entire series of MotoGP events took place safely, orderly, and smoothly without any significant incident.

"There are no incidents that interfere with events, both inside and outside the circuit area. This is the result of extraordinary synergy between the NTB Police, Korem 162/WB, Provincial Government, and district/city governments throughout the island of Lombok," said Kholid in a written statement received in Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, October 5.

The Mandalika Rinjani 2025 Operation is a large-scale security operation specifically designed to support the success of the Mandalika MotoGP. In the security operation, according to him, 3,572 personnel were deployed at various strategic points, from circuit areas to buffer routes throughout Lombok Island.

Not only relying on land security, according to him, the police also alerted troops and fleets in the sea and air areas to anticipate any potential disturbances, both from the transportation and security aspects of tourist areas.

"We have also taken preventive and preemptive measures from the start, including supervision at all entrances to Lombok Island, both ports and airports. The goal is to ensure the situation remains conducive and free from threats that can disrupt the course of the event," he said.

He said the success of the Mandalika MotoGP was not only a victory for the organizers and racers, but also a matter of pride for the people of NTB and Indonesia. With the security situation under control, he assessed that the entire audience, team, and MotoGP crew could enjoy this event comfortably and safely.

'Security is the main key in every big event. Without security, excitement will be meaningless. Therefore, we are very grateful that the 2025 Mandalika MotoGP can run perfectly," he said.

The Gresini Racing Racer Fermin Aldeguer won the Indonesian MotoGP which took place at the Mandalika Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Sunday. The victory in this series is also the first victory for the rookie from Spain after promotion this season in the MotoGP class.
