Prabowo Alludes To TNI Leaders No Need For Seniors, Minister Of State Secretary: Already Running

JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg), Prasetyo Hadi responded to the speech of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at the 80th Anniversary of the TNI which alluded to the best leadership of the TNI, there was no need for a senior as long as they excel. According to Prasetyo, currently under the leadership of President Prabowo, coaching in the TNI has prioritized competence over seniority.

"I think that's it now. Now, that the President has indeed emphasized all ranks of the TNI to prioritize competence in excess of seniority issues. I think so," said Prasetyo Hadi after attending the TNI's 80th Anniversary celebration at Monas, Jakarta, Sunday, October 5th.

Prasetyo said that the order had been carried out internally by the TNI and would certainly continue to be carried out. Because the government, said Pras, really wants professional soldiers to carry out their duties.

"This should not also mean that there is always less seniors than juniors. That's not the meaning," he said.

"So later, there will be no clashes between seniors and juniors," added the Minister of State Secretary.

Out of this context, the Minister of State Secretary hopes that the TNI's 80th Anniversary will be a momentum for soldiers to be closer and more loved by the Indonesian people.

"We are all here to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the TNI. Hopefully the TNI will be more professional, more loved by the people, closer to the people. The TNI accepts, the TNI is a people of Advanced Indonesia," said Prasetyo Hadi.

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto reminded that the leadership in the TNI must be in full leadership, Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo, and must set an example ahead. "There is no place for an incompetent leader, who is unprofessional, who does not understand his duties," said the President during a speech at the TNI's 80th Anniversary at Monas, Jakarta, Sunday, October 5.

The President also ordered the TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto and the chief of staff of the force to assess the leaders in the TNI. According to Prabowo, TNI soldiers have the right to demand the best leadership.

"I give permission to the TNI commander and chief of staff in the context of leadership selection, there is no need to always take into account seniority that is important in achievement, dedication, love for the country," said Prabowo.
