Attending TNI's 80th Anniversary, President Prabowo: TNI Must Be Ready To Protect Indonesian Nation

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto attended the TNI's 80th Anniversary commemoration at Monas, Jakarta. In his speech, President Prabowo reminded that the TNI must be ready to protect the Indonesian nation.

"I congratulate the 80th Anniversary of the Indonesian National Army, Dirgahayu TNI," Prabowo said, starting his speech at the TNI's 80th Anniversary which was held at Monasz Jakarta, Sunday, October 5.

Prabowo then invited all parties to remember the history of the Indonesian nation's journey and the history of the TNI's journey. That the Indonesian National Army was born to the Indonesian people.

"The TNI is the biological child of the Indonesian people. The TNI comes from the people, the TNI arises and sinks with the Indonesian people, the TNI always serves the nation and people, and the TNI is ready to sacrifice its soul and body for the Indonesian people and people," said Prabowo.

Prabowo emphasized that in the midst of the current uncertainty of the global environment, the TNI is the bulwark of the NKRI fort. The TNI is the backbone of Indonesia's defense which is the guarantor of Indonesia's sovereignty.

"That the TNI must be ready to protect the entire Indonesian nation and all the blood of Indonesia. The TNI must be ready to sacrifice everything for the safety of the Indonesian nation and people," he said.

On behalf of the nation and government of Indonesia, Prabowo expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the achievements of the TNI so far.

"The TNI always appears at a critical time when the TNI will not hesitate to prioritize the interests of the nation and state and the people above all other interests," said Prabowo.
