Metro Police Chief Appreciates Residents Putting Up Banners Warning Travelers Who Return To Prevent COVID-19

Banners installed by residents to remind travelers returning to Jakarta (ANTARA)

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief Irjen Fadil Imran appreciated the people of DKI Jakarta who took the initiative to put up banners warning residents who have just returned from their hometowns to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 in residential clusters.

One of the banners installed in Kampung Tangguh Jaya, RW 04 Kel. Mangga Dua Selatan, Sawah Besar District, Central Jakarta, reads "The discharged village / homecoming must be rapid test".

"That's good, let the citizens realize. We support the citizens who care about the environment, let alone we invite not force," said the Police Chief after reviewing the Post Swab Kampung Tangguh Jaya, District Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta, quoted Antara, Monday, May 17.

Another banner posted by the residents of Sawah Besar reads "Travelers must be FREE of COVID".

AKP Sawah Besar Police Chief Maulana Mukarom said the installation of the banner was an initiative of the citizens.

"This is for the people of Central Jakarta, especially Sawah Besar healthy, free of COVID-19," maulana said.

Dozens of residents in Sawah Besar District on Monday underwent antigen tests at The Swab Post of Kampung Tangguh Jaya. Most of the people who underwent the antigen test had just returned from their hometown.

COVID-19 free letter or negative examination result becomes the main requirement for travelers to return to their residence in Jakarta.

Residents appreciate the free antigen test service facilitated by the Polda Metro Jaya. Especially in Sawah Besar Sub-district, there are 6 points provided in each village.
