JAKARTA - The European Union (EU) has extended its sanctions against Russia for one year on charges of carrying out a hybrid war potentially disrupting security stability.
According to a statement by the Council of the European Union quoted from Tass, Saturday, October 4, restrictions related to the alleged "sustainable Russian hybrid activity" have been extended to October 9, 2026.
The sanctions mechanism was first announced on October 8, 2024, in addition to the EU's main sanctions package against Russia.
The mechanism includes asset freezes and EU entry bans for 47 people and 15 entities that have been marked.

"In total, restrictive measures related to Russia's destabilizing activity currently apply to 47 individuals and 15 entities. Those registered are subject to asset freezes, and EU citizens and companies are prohibited from providing funds, financial assets, or economic resources for them.
