SAR Finds 2 More Victims Of Sinking Boat In Kedung Ombo, Total 9 Missing Victims

JAKARTA - The joint SAR team found two more victims of the sinking water accident at Kedung Ombo Dukuh Bulu Reservoir, Wonoharjo Village, Kemusu Subdistrict, Boyolali Regency, Central Java. So that nine missing victims have been found in total.

As reported by Antara, Monday, May 17, Head of Emergency Affairs BPBD (Regional Disaster Management Agency) Boyolali Kurniawan Fajar Prasetyo, as the coordinator of the search for victims at the scene of Wonoharjo Boyolali, Monday, said, SAR found one victim on named Jalal (1.5), Pilangrejo Boyolali residents on Sunday, May 16, around 21.00 WIB.

The last missing victim on behalf of Nikem Safitri (8), a resident of Gobrogan was found by SAR on Monday at around 05.15 WIB. As a whole, nine missing drowning boat victims have all been found.

The SAR team in the process of searching for victims, on Sunday, May 16, began at around 19.00 WIB by quietly carrying nets and lighting lights to find Jalal's body, around 21.00 WIB.

Jalal's victim's body was then evacuated and taken to Waras Wiris Hospital Andong Boyolali to be identified. Similarly, the discovery of the last victim on behalf of Niken Safitri now his body has been in Waras Wiris Hospital.

According to Kurniawan with the two victims found so that all victims as many as 9 drowned people have been found all in the condition of death.

Kurniawan explained SAR team search the victims by drilling or maneuvering water with rubber boats. This is, to make waves of water so that the victim's body appears to the surface.

"This method, it turns out that the victims who are in the depth of the water more than 20 meters appeared shifted on the surface of the water then just evacuated", Kurniawan also as SAR coordinator for the search for victims of the sinking boat.

Data of nine victims died in Kedung Ombo namely Tituk Mulyani (38) residents of Dukuh Krasak, Mojoagung Village, RT 04/08, Karangrayung Grobogan Subdistrict, Naswa Cayla Welda (6) residents of Dukuh Larangan, RT04/03, Ketro Village, Karangrayung, Grobogan, Destri (8), residents of Dukuh Karangmalang, RT 09/03, Pilangrejo Village, Juwangi District, Boyolali (son of Tinuk / survivors).

Zamzam Tabah Oktaviana (7), resident of Dukuh Karangmalang, RT 09/03, Pilangrejo Village, Juwangi, Boyolali, Tri Iriana Wahyu Ningtyas (27), residents of Dukuh Karangmalang, RT 09/03, Pilangrejo Juwangi Village, Boyolali (mother of Zamzam victims), and Acek Jalil Rasid (4), residents of Dukuh Karangmalang, RT 09/03, Pilangrejo Village, Juwangi, Boyolali, Destri Pramaswati (8), residents of Pilangrejo Village, Juwangi District, Boyolali Regency, Jalal (1.5), pilangrejo boyolali residents, and finally Nikem Safitri (8), residents of Gobrogan.

Previously, a boat boarded by about 20 local tourists had a water accident drowned in Kedung Ombo Reservoir, Dukuh Bulu Wonoharjo Village, Kemusu District, Boyolali Regency, Central Java, Saturday, May 15 at around 11:00 am.

According to The Chief of Kemusu Police AKP Cahyo Nugroho, the boat with 20 people was involved in a drowning accident when tourists were about to eat heading to Warung Apung Dukuh Bulu Wonoharjo Kemusu Village around 11.00 WIB

From the 20 passengers of the boat, 11 people survived and 9 people were found dead.
