5 SAR Teams Search For 1 Missing Victim Dragged By South OKU Flash Flood Aftermen And Their Colleagues Found

JAKARTA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has expanded its search for residents of Tanjung Harapan Village, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency (OKU) Selatan, South Sumatra (Sumsel), who were missing when they were swept away by flash floods on Tuesday, September 23 in the morning.

"Today is the second day of search after the victim named Lina binti Dupi was declared missing by flash floods," said Head of Emergency and Logistics Division of South OKU BPBD Heri Pramono in Muaradua, Wednesday, as reported by Antara.

He said Lina's victim was swept away by the current with two members of his family, namelyular bin Syukur and Sur. They were swept away by flash floods.

"Today, we are continuing the search for the third victim by forming five teams," he said.

Previously, victims caps and Sur were found on Tuesday, September 23 at around 10.30 WIB in the Air Besar River or a few kilometers from the scene of the incident in a state of death.

Today, the search area for the Joint SAR team has been expanded to the Are River area, South OKU Regency or 14 kilometers from the scene. In fact, several teams searched to Bengkulu Province so that victims were found immediately.

"It is not impossible for the victim to be swept away to Bengkulu which borders South OKU Regency. Hopefully today's search will produce results," he hoped.
