Police Find Funders Behind Riots At The End Of August

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police found that there were funds or flows of funds related to the riots that occurred in several areas at the end of August 2025. Currently, the figure is still being investigated.

"There are several areas where there are funds or flows of funds that are currently still in the process of proving," said the Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Djuhandani Rahardjo Puro to reporters, Wednesday, September 24.

However, it was not specified which areas were found to be financiers related to riots. It is only emphasized that the evidentiary process is carried out to find out more about the figure of the financier and the flow of funds.

"This means that the process of proving that someone has indeed given money and so on, where did this proof and proof process go through a scientific process," he said.

In the evidentiary process, investigators will coordinate coordination with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK).

Even with the figure of an intellectual actor or master mind behind the riots that occurred in almost all parts of Indonesia.

"Currently, it is still in the process of being clearer as to whether there is a master mind or other financiers, everything is still in process," said Djuhandani.

Meanwhile, the National Police has determined 959 related to riots that occurred in several parts of Indonesia from August 25 to 31, 2025. Of the hundreds of people, 295 of them are still children.
