JAKARTA - PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) in collaboration with the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) to identify areas that need improvement as a follow-up to the incidents of three Transjakarta bus accidents this September.
"We are aware of the need for improvement in various aspects," said Transjakarta President Director Welfizon Yuza in Jakarta, Tuesday, September 23.
Cooperation with the NTSC also includes an in-depth investigation into the causes of each accident, both related to human factors (HR), operational procedures, and fleet technicalities.
The results of this investigation will form the basis for companies to formulate comprehensive system improvements.
"We are cooperating with the NTSC because of their expertise and independence in investigating accidents," said Welfizon.
He hopes that through this collaboration, Transjakarta and operator partners can continue to provide public transportation services that provide a sense of security and comfort to passengers.
Previously, Transjakarta had also implemented KNKT recommendations, including 15 specific safety measures to prevent accidents.
Welfizon said that ensuring the track was safe, although not inside the corridor, it was one of the homeworks that needed support from various parties.
The accident involving the Transjakarta bus fleet this month was recorded three times in the near future, namely on Saturday (6/9) on Jalan Raya Minangkabau, South Jakarta. The Transjakarta driver with the initials LK (44) crashed into a shop which was suspected to be due to lack of concentration.
