JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the Mayor of Prabumulih Arlan could be clarified regarding the reported state administrators' wealth reports (LHKPN). This possibility is open because checks are currently being carried out.

"Is it complete, is it correct. Now everything will be checked later whether there are reports that are not yet complete, then later the KPK can clarify the person concerned," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters quoted on Monday, September 22.

Even so, Budi could not confirm whether Arlan would be asked to come to the anti-corruption commission office. This is because the clarification process can be carried out online

In addition, saying that checking and clarification are commonly carried out by the KPK as a form of preventing corruption. "We are also proactively monitoring," he said.

"So not only in the administrative process of receiving LHKPN, from state administrators, but also intensively monitoring, checking the reports that have been submitted," continued Budi.

Arlan is known to report his wealth when he was still a candidate for mayor of Prabumulih based on the e-LHKPN page. His assets reached Rp19,002,737,046 but owed Rp2 billion to Rp17,002,737,046.

The report said Arlan had assets of 18 land and buildings with a value of Rp5,871,750,000.

As for vehicles, he only has three Yamaha 1 FDC/Solo motorbikes in 2022 which are worth IDR 8 million each; one Mitsubishi Total Diesel car worth IDR 225 million; four Hino-branded tronton trucks; two units of Mitsubishi Triton Double Cabin in 2020 with a value of IDR 280 million and IDR 242 million; and a bulldozer with the John Deere 450J brand in 2015 with a value of IDR 500 million. The entire vehicle was recorded with a value of IDR 4,921,000,000.

Then Arlan also recorded ownership of other movable assets worth IDR 202,000,000 and cash equivalents worth IDR 8,007,987,046.

As previously reported, the Mayor of Prabumulih Arlan was highlighted for removing the Principal of SMPN 1 Prabumulih, Roni Ardiansyah, who reprimanded his son after taking the car to school. This decision was later canceled and he has apologized.

However, this controversy has already caused a commotion until Arlan finally received a warning from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).

"First of all, I apologize to all Indonesian people. And especially the people of Prabumulih, which I have admitted my mistake for this incident. And this makes a lesson for me and learns for me," said Arlan at the Itjen Office of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Central Jakarta, Thursday, September 18.

"Without this incident, it made me unable to control myself. With this incident, I took a lesson," he said.
