JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will check the report on the assets of state administrators (LHKPN) of Gorontalo Provincial DPRD member Wahyudin Moridu which went viral because the video wanted to 'robber state money'
KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said the checks were carried out because LHKPN Wahyudin was minus Rp. 2 million. The anti-corruption commission felt the need to intervene.
Wahyudin is noted to have only once reported assets to the KPK, namely when he was Secretary of the PDIP Faction at the Gorontalo Provincial DPRD. The report was made on March 26, 2025, based on the KPK e-LHKPN page.
He recorded land and building assets covering an area of 2,000 square meters (m2)/72 m2 in Boalemo with an inheritance status of Rp180,000,000.
He also reported cash ownership and cash equivalents of Rp. 18,000,000. However, Wahyudin has a debt of Rp. 200,000,000.
So that the assets amounting to Rp. 198,000,000 are reduced to minus Rp. 2 million.
"We will check the suitability of the report," Budi said when confirmed by reporters quoted on Monday, September 22.
Budi reminded officials not to carelessly report their assets to the KPK. "You have to be honest in filling it out because as a state administrator you should also be an example for the community, including in the commitment to prevent corruption," he said.
As previously reported, Wahyudin Moridu went viral for uploading a video showing him driving a car with a woman. Footage taken by the woman sitting next to him.
Wahyudin, still in the viral video, said that he would travel to Makassar using state money. He then made a statement in the public spotlight with a laugh.
"Today we are going to Makassar using state money. We'll just rob this country's money, right. We'll just spend it, so that this country will get poorer," said Wahyudin.
This incident then caused a stir and made Wahyudin fired from PDIP on Saturday, September 20. The party bearing the bull symbol will also make interim changes (PAW).
"Today the DPP issued a letter of dismissal to the person concerned and in the near future PAW will soon be carried out," said Komarudin in his statement to reporters, Saturday, September 20.

"So indeed the person concerned has been clarified by the Gorontalo DPD and the DPD has submitted a report to the DPP, asking for organizational action to be taken for his actions," he said.
