Prabowo Will Announce The Police Reform Team This Week

JAKARTA - Prabowo Subianto will soon announce the Police Reform Team he formed. The plan, this week.

Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi said that currently the Presidential Decree (Kepres) which will later become the basis for the formation and work of the Police Reform Team is being prepared.

"Wait, God willing, this week. It is being prepared, it is being prepared," Prasetyo told reporters, Wednesday, September 17.

Even with the members of the Police Reform Team, it is said that all names are being prepared, including the chairman. However, it is stated that they come from various backgrounds.

"Not yet, the chairman has not been appointed, only the members have been prepared. There are many," he said.

On the other hand, Prasetyo mentioned the reasons behind the formation of the Police Reform Team solely for overall improvement and institutional evaluation of the Police.

"Of course we all really love the police institution, but of course there are several things that may need to be improved, evaluated and that's normal for all institutions," he said.

Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration and Corrections (Menko Kumham Imipas) Yusril Ihza Mahendra said President Prabowo Subianto was preparing a Presidential Decree (Keppres) related to the formation of the Police Reform Commission.

The commission was formed to formulate various ideas of changes that need to be made to the body of the National Police, which will then be submitted to the President.

"There is no target yet when it will be formed, but indeed the presidential decree has been prepared and may be sworn in for the day or two," said Yusril.
