8 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine And 6 Kg Of Marijuana Were Destroyed At The West Jakarta Metro Police

West Jakarta Metro Police destroyed 8.7 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 6.2 kilograms of marijuana resulting from the disclosure of cases during the period May to August 2025

The Head of the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, Kompol Vernal Armando S, explained that the evidence came from three police reports with five suspects who were arrested.

"This destruction is part of the completeness of the second stage of the prosecutor's delegation process, as well as to ensure that the evidence cannot be misused again," he said when confirmed, Monday, September 15, 2025.

Before being destroyed, the Labfor Police Headquarters team first checked the authenticity of the evidence. The destruction process is carried out by dissolving methamphetamine using battery water, while marijuana is destroyed through burning to the end.

This decisive step is not only a matter of law enforcement, but also a form of real protection for the community, especially the younger generation, from the latent dangers of drugs.

The West Jakarta Metro Police hopes that the community will continue to play an active role in providing information and jointly protecting the environment from the circulation of these illicit goods.
