JAKARTA - Officers of the Traffic Directorate of The Metro Jaya Police Department recorded a turn around 896 vehicles that were about to exit Jakarta on the first day of Lebaran 1442 Hijriah.

"There are 896 vehicles turned back in GT Cikarang Barat," said Head of Operational Division of The Regional Police of Metro Jaya AKBP Dermawan Karosekali quoted Antara, Thursday, May 13.

The philanthropist said officers did not find any illicit travel trying to take passengers out of the Capital on Eid al-Fitr.

"Today's dark travel is nil," he added.

Previously, Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol. Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said the sealing of travelers will continue until May 17, because it is estimated that there are still residents who will go home after performing Eid prayers.

"The Eid prayer is finished in Jakarta but then out of the city afterwards, so still carry out the sealing until the 17th," he said.
