Krukut River Overflows, 4 RTs In Cilandak Flood Up To 1.5 Meters

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded that 2 RTs in Cilandak District, South Jakarta were flooded up to 1.5 centimeters due to rain in the DKI Jakarta area this afternoon.

"The latest information on inundation is until 18.00 WIB, BPBD noted that currently inundation has occurred in 6 RTs," said Head of BPBD DKI Jakarta Isnawa Adji in his statement, Friday, September 12.

More specifically, there is 1 RT in Cilandak Barat Village which was flooded with water levels reaching 90 centimeters, and 3 RTs in East Cilandak Village with water levels between 90 to 145 centimeters.

"The cause is high rainfall and overflowing Krukut River," said Isnawa.

The rain that hit this afternoon also caused the increase in the Angke Hulu Monitoring Post to be alert/standby 3 at 17.00 WIB, and the Sunter Hulu Monitoring Post to be alert/standby 3 at 17.00 WIB.

Currently, BPBD DKI Jakarta is deploying personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each region and coordinate elements of the Natural Resources Service, Highways Office, Gulkarmat Service to carry out inundation suction and ensure that water lines function properly together with local lurah and sub-district heads and prepare basic needs for survivors.

"The inundation is targeted to recede in a short time. BPBD DKI urges the public to remain careful and alert to potential inundation," concluded Isnawa.
