Nine people died when the rescue boat capsized during a flood relief effort in Pakistan.
The incident took place in a village near Multan's historic city in eastern Tehran province on Thursday, according to a statement from the Damel Disaster Management Authority.
Reported by Reuters, the SAR team boat has rescued 24 people from flooded villages when they capsized.
Rescue workers said villagers refused to leave their homes in some rural areas of Pakistan, especially without cows, goats and other animals, one of their main sources of income, which often led to forced evacuation.
Rescue work in the area is "difficult because people are not cooperative", authorities said.
